Want to Help Enlighten Your Students About IT Careers and Employers?

RITE’s Site Visit Program (RSVP) engages regional IT employers in creating opportunities for students and teachers to learn first-hand about their business and the IT workforce needs of their company and industry. Depending on the company, site visits generally include welcoming activities, presentations, tours, demonstrations, and a meal where students, faculty and company representatives can converse. This opportunity is available for up to 25 high school students and their adult sponsor/teachers. Visits are generally scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Participating high schools will be able to select one visit per year.  High schools are required to arrange their own transportation.  If your school would like to apply for reimbursement of transportation, funds are available up to $200 per year per school.  This limit includes transportation to the annual Passport to IT Careers event scheduled for Friday, March 2, 2018.

When:

Registration opens in February, 2018

Site Visits available during the annual Tech Week, April 16-20, 2018

“Engaging early and often with students helps them make informed education and career choices. Site visits help spark enthusiasm and interest for careers in Information Technology. Students are afforded a real life slice of the Digital Age and its transformation when they visit our companies. These visits help them understand the variety of roles they could pursue.   We know from experience that past site visits have altered the lives of many participants in positive ways from the amazing feedback we receive about next steps they took in their career path as a direct result of the same. ”
