Lincoln West students visit a data center at BlueBridge Networks.
A Site Visit is a powerful opportunity for students to visit a regional company and learn first-hand what it is like to work as an IT professional at that company. Companies from all industry sectors including technology, manufacturing, health care or banking provide powerful opportunities for students to learn about their potential role as an IT professional.
Depending on the company, site visits generally include welcoming activities, presentations, tours, demonstrations, and a meal where students, faculty and company representatives can converse.
This opportunity is available for up to twenty-five high school students and their adult sponsor/teachers. Participating high schools will be required to arrange their own transportation and be responsible for all release forms and student liability.
Visits are generally scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
When: From October 1, 2016 – March 31, 2017
Where: Participating Host Company
Transportation: Limited one-time per year transportation stipends of up to $200 are available on a reimbursement basis.
