Initiatives

RITE fulfills its mission in three ways:

1. Pipeline Programs and Resources:
RITE launched its programming in 2013 and now offers a range the following:

  • High School Portfolio (Site Visits, Guest Speakers, CoolTech Challenge created by OHTec, Passport to IT Careers, and IT in Action)
  • Summer IT High School Camp Partnership with TECH CORPS
  • College/University Site Visits (Pilot 2017)
  • Career Pathway and Educational Resources

2. Workforce Programs:
RITE undertakes recruiting and training initiatives where RITE’s capabilities and its employer partnerships can be brought to bear for greater impact including:

  • Skills-Based Recruiting Initiatives
  • Jobs in Demand Training Partnerships for Adults
  • Targeted Jobs Interventions
  • Career Pathway Programming for Youth

3. Backbone and Engagement Services:
RITE operates as a “sector partnership” for IT employers providing a platform for collective and strategic action in the region’s IT talent development system. Services include:

  • Employer and Educator Networks including a new HR IT Roundtable in 2017
  • Leadership Opportunities through RITE Board and Committees
  • Community Engagement for Industry Professionals through ProCorps
  • Strategic Labor Market Information
  • Joint Funding Initiatives
